We at Indus BPO realize that Insurance Agents in Pakistan work extremely
hard to sell a single policy.
Insurance Agents invest a lot of time in prospecting for new leads and are way underpaid for the tasks they actually do.
In the process from prospecting, active dealing, underwriting and finally delivering a policy, a lot of time is spent.
Even though Time is the most precious and priceless commodity, Time is not the only thing that is invested. Insurance Agents also invest a lot of money in the entire process. And for that reason they spend a massive unbilled or compensated amount.
The commission that Insurance Agents receive does not fairly compensate for their efforts and expenses.
To make matters worse the Government of Pakistan also does not do justice to Insurance Agents. Especially the new Insurance Agents, still learning and under training.
A fresh graduate or a student or house wife, who has never worked a day in his or her life, would have no reason to file an income tax return. And would not be on the tax filer or be on the Active Taxpayer List (ATL).
On the already high Tax from the first rupee they earn. They will pay up to 24 %. While other employees are not taxed up to 6 Lakhs. And even after that, they are only taxed 2.5% for the next 6 Lakhs. This would be a total of PKR 100000. If a new Insurance Agent makes 12 Lakhs they will
